Cherry tomato relish to perk up a meal with
Cherry tomatoes, onion, garlic and a little patience turn into something glossy, rich and ridiculously useful. It’s sweet, tangy and thick enough to pile onto toast. Call it relish, chutney, spread, or in our case, baby tomato smoor. It’s especially good with cheddar, jalapeños and a very generous grind of black pepper. And best of all, there’s almost no waste.

Apparently I’m a food blogger now
A granny with a recipe blog. Who would have thought?
This did not begin with a lifetime spent preserving treasured family recipes. I finally have a kitchen I enjoy using, a friend making a success of chilli sauces in Berlin who inspired me, and I have always enjoyed fiddling with food.
One experiment led to another, several jars appeared, and Pink Blocks Pantry was born.
